Express Your Creative Side This Weekend at the Hearth Community Art Project

Come together with your local community and join in the creative fun at the 2018 Winter HeARTh community art project! This year’s enriching, creative activity invites you to make your very own decorated quilt squares, offering an artistic and family-friendly way to spend your Saturday.

This ongoing Evanston community project, entitled “Uncovered,” lets you create unique quilt squares with your own signature style, whether you wish to adorn your creation with some embroidered designs or painted patterns! The squares will be assembled into one grand art installation, showcasing a collectively made quilted that will become garments for empowerment, celebrating the community’s strengths. Come help create this community-building quilt that will be on display at a future community empowerment event, followed by an installation on-site at the Evanston Ecology Center.

This exciting activity strives to further the cause of the Winter HeARTh project, a collaborative effort sponsored by the Evanston Arts Council that seeks to bring together the residents of Evanston during the cold, isolating winter months to collectively make an art project. No experience is needed to partake in the fun, so make sure you attend this thrilling project!

At 415 Premier Apartments in Evanston, Illinois, it is clear that we have it all, but we still feel obliged to inform you of all the events our community has scheduled. Please feel free to join in all of the fun at this event!
